Gear Box (Reduction Drive)
We design and fabricate in-house all of our presses including our new Gear Box. These drives are designed to “assist” in the turning of the handles and wheels for the presses when under heavy load. Available in a 5:1 or a 6:1 gear reduction.
In turning the handle or wheel, the heavier the pressure, the more dynamic force is required to turn the cylinder it is attached to. The smaller the cylinder, more effort is required in turning that cylinder. The larger the diameter of the cylinder, less effort is required. A gear reduction drive at its most basic mechanical principle is a motor assistant similar to a transmission in a car. These are designed to work on any and all size presses we produce from the 12” model up.
Made entirely out of steel, bronze, and brass available in various surface treatments and our R A W finish.
Add this to any press!!!!!
